First Burn Matters
Let the candle burn until the entire top layer of wax is melted (edge to edge). This prevents "tunneling" (when wax only melts in the middle). This could take 1–3 hours on the first burn.

Lighting the Hemp Wick
Use a lighter or match to light the tip of the hemp wick.

Hemp wicks can take a second or two longer to catch than traditional cotton wicks, so be patient and let it form a small flame.

While Burning
Place the candle on a heat-safe surface away from drafts or anything flammable. Let it burn for a few hours at a time, but don't exceed 4 hours continuously. Extinguish, let cool, and trim the wick again before re-lighting.

Extinguishing
Best practice: use a candle snuffer or gently blow it out.Avoid dipping the wick into the wax to extinguish—it can cause soot or make relighting harder.

Storage Tips
Keep the candle covered when not in use (a lid or wrap works). Store in a cool, dry place—away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration or scent loss.
